Following the recent Grand Final Gala Ceremony of the World Travel Awards 2009, held at The Grosvenor House Hotel, Mayfair London, The Samaya Seminyak Bali was adjudged as the winner of the prestigious Indonesia's Leading Resort award. The whole team of Samaya are very proud and honoured to have received this prestigious award, and will strive to continue improve both our products and services for the good of our valued guests through and into 2010.

To be able to keep our product and villas up to date, we have a planned renovation commencing third week of February 2010, were we will start with taking 6 units out of play, and completely refurbish these, as well as we will renovate the lobby this this will be phase 1 and I expect will take for 5 months. The architect Andreas Papadimitriou who was responsible for the original Samaya designs, The Samaya Royal Courtyard & The Samaya Ubud, has again surpassed himself with what I believe to be a winning combination of Luxury chic & privacy whilist maintaining that home from home feeling.

The Samaya's forty six private individual villas, which are the heart of this full service resort, twenty four on the side of Seminyak beach, (to be renovated) and the other twenty two Royal Courtyard Villas which are set in a tranquil Balinese village environment and just two minutes by golf buggy from our beachside location.
Later this year we will be opening The Samaya Ubud, I was hoping for November 2009, but with issues out of our control, this is now looking like 1st quarter of 2010, spectacularly located amidst rice fields and the verdant hillsides of Bali's interior. Ubud has been a magnet for travelers and tourists for almost a century.
